Rashmika’s O Mysaa Re drops as Mysaa readies for November 27

Rashmika Mandanna's first single from Mysaa, O Mysaa Re, has landed as a battle-ready war cry ahead of the November 27 five-language release.

O Mysaa Re: Rashmika's war cry leads Mysaa to November 27

Rashmika’s ‘Mysaa’ gets its first war cry

Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming period action drama Mysaa has unveiled its first single, “O Mysaa Re”, on Monday. Directed by Rawindra Pulle, the film is being shaped as one of Mandanna’s most intense outings, and the single arrives with an aggressive, battle-ready energy rather than a soft melodic feel.

Mandanna shared the track on X with a short description that doubles as a mission statement:

“A war cry! A scream of pain and rage! An awakening!!”

Her words may be brief, but they set the tone for how the makers want Mysaa to be read: as a story of anger, endurance and a woman rising to fight.

What the single sounds and looks like

The song is composed by Jakes Bejoy, with vocals by Sindhuja Srinivasan. The production rides thunderous beats and holds its intensity from start to finish. In the video, Brinda Master’s choreography places a large group of dancers against a rugged forest backdrop, with Mandanna in a high-energy avatar.

  • Composer: Jakes Bejoy
  • Singer: Sindhuja Srinivasan
  • Lyricist: Suddala Ashok Teja
  • Choreographer: Brinda Master

According to the makers, lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja presents “Mysaa” as Eeshi and Aishi, symbolising divine feminine power and the female form of Lord Shiva. The lyrics celebrate womanhood, courage and the spirit of women preparing for battle.

Why the song matters for the film

Mysaa is an emotive period action drama set in tribal territories, with Mandanna playing a Gond woman in what has been positioned as one of her most intense and emotional roles. The teaser had already shown a character moving from exhaustion to defiance, reflected in the lines “I am tired, I have stopped, I have lost” before she turns to face the challenges around her.

The first single extends that arc. It is not a romantic break; it is a rallying cry that tells audiences exactly what kind of film this is. The underwater fight sequence featuring Mandanna with a sickle, glimpsed in earlier material, underlines that the action is central to the storytelling.

Five languages, one release date

For Hindi film fans, the release plan is as important as the song. Mysaa will open simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on November 27, 2026. Alongside Mandanna, the film features Eshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram and Rao Ramesh in important roles.

That five-language push makes “O Mysaa Re” a multilingual calling card. It is designed to travel across markets, and the choice of a war cry as the first single signals that the makers are selling intensity, not just star power.
