Chiranjeevi-Srikanth Odela Film Delayed, Nani Says

Nani says the Chiranjeevi-Srikanth Odela project needs fresh scheduling talks after The Paradise overran and Chiranjeevi took on other films.

Chiranjeevi-Srikanth Odela film needs more time, Nani confirms

Fans waiting for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s dark, violent collaboration with Dasara director Srikanth Odela will need to hold on a little longer. Actor-producer Nani has confirmed that the project has not moved forward as originally planned, and the core team has yet to sit down for a fresh scheduling conversation.

What Nani said about the delay

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nani explained that the extended production of his own film The Paradise consumed far more time than expected. That, he said, pushed the Chiranjeevi project off its intended path.

“We haven’t sat and had that discussion yet,” Nani said.

He added that Chiranjeevi ended up completing a few other films in the meantime, which has further complicated the timeline. The next meaningful update will depend on when the lead actor and director’s dates align again.

Why this film has so much riding on it

The project was officially announced in December 2024 and immediately became one of the most talked-about Telugu films in development. It pairs Chiranjeevi with Srikanth Odela, whose debut Dasara introduced a grittier, more atmospheric style of mass storytelling.

The makers have described it as Chiranjeevi’s “most violent film,” and the announcement poster—featuring a bloodied hand—only added to the intrigue.

What happens next

  • The film has not been shelved, but it also has no fresh start date.
  • Nani’s The Paradise ran long, changing the original plan.
  • Chiranjeevi finished other commitments while waiting.
  • An official update is expected only after the key players meet.

For now, this remains a high-curiosity project rather than a moving one. Fans should watch for word from Nani or the makers rather than reading silence as a cancellation.
