Rakul Preet Singh paired a ₹2.75 lakh Itrh bronze-gold tissue saree with an ice-blue zardozi blouse for Ramayana's trailer launch.

Rakul Preet Singh's ₹2.75 Lakh Ramayana Trailer Look

Rakul Preet Singh turned the international trailer launch of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend in Bengaluru into a masterclass in restrained glamour. Instead of heavy embellishment, she picked a bronze-gold tissue saree with an ice-blue embroidered zardozi blouse, and let the colour contrast do the work.

A quiet luxury look with a big price tag

The two-piece ensemble is from Itrh, the Indian couture label founded by Ridhi Bansal and Mohit Rai. The brand confirmed to The Times of India that the look is priced at ₹2.75 lakh. That figure sits in luxury occasion-wear territory, but the styling kept it soft rather than showy.

Styled by Ami Patel, the outfit paired a fluid bronze-gold tissue drape with a blue blouse detailed with zardozi and a mirror-work jhallar. Jewellery from Jagdish Jewellers and Razwada Jewels—statement earrings and kadas—added weight without distracting from the saree’s finely embroidered border.

Rakul on Surpanakha and the Ramayana vision

At the launch, Rakul spoke about Bengaluru’s place in her career, remembering that her first film happened in the city. She said she had received “so much love from this place” and that it felt special to return as part of Ramayana.

She plays Surpanakha, a role that places her inside one of Indian mythology’s most dramatic storylines. Rakul praised the scale of the production and the work of co-stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, calling the adaptation a “humongous vision” from director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.

The film at a glance

  • Part 1: Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, worldwide on November 5, 2026.
  • Part 2: planned for Diwali 2027.
  • Cast: Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
  • Backers: Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

Why the look matters

For fans, this appearance is more than a red-carpet moment. It is an early taste of how the cast of a two-part epic will present themselves as the campaign builds. Rakul’s understated ethnic choice suggests the rollout may lean on heritage craft and modern polish rather than costume-like excess.

With Part 1 arriving on November 5, 2026, and Part 2 slated for Diwali 2027, there will be many more promotional appearances to decode. Watch how each actor’s wardrobe frames the character they play.
