Why this run matters
The film is a sequel to 2022’s ‘Drishyam 2’, but it does not simply copy the Malayalam version. The Hindi story sends Meera Deshmukh back into Vijay Salgaonkar’s life with revenge on her mind, while a Crime Branch officer picks at the alibis he has built. That original path gives the film its own dramatic stakes, which is why word of mouth matters as much as the franchise name.
The third-week test
The next few days will show whether the film can hold a weekday base of around Rs 3 crore before the third weekend. For fans, the real indicator is the night-show turnout, which is still pulling the average up. If the film keeps this pace, the worldwide gross could push further while the India nett total inches towards the next milestone.
