Arjun Kapoor Bought Cameras for Paparazzi, Yash Offered to Pay

A paparazzo reveals Arjun Kapoor's quiet camera gifts and Yash's offer to pay photographers for lost work, plus why Toxic still fell short.

Arjun Kapoor Bought Cameras, Yash Offered to Pay

It is rare for a paparazzo to tell a story that makes the trade sound warm, but Sneh Zala’s account does exactly that. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, the photographer detailed two gestures from Arjun Kapoor and Yash that have become the talk of filmi circles.

Arjun Kapoor’s quiet camera gifts

Arjun Kapoor, Sneh said, has one of the kindest hearts in the industry. The actor, he recalled, occasionally asks photographers why they are clicking in a particular spot. But the moment passes quickly: Arjun comes back, apologises and explains the place is inappropriate or that the group is making too much noise.

That is already more conversation than most photographers expect. Then Sneh went further. Without wanting much credit, Arjun has bought cameras for photographers who could not afford them. Sneh added that Arjun probably would not like the detail revealed, then called him ‘a gem of a person.’

Yash asked photographers to stay home – and offered to pay

Yash’s consideration took a different shape. While shooting and dubbing for Toxic in Mumbai, the KGF star would use a jetty at Madh, an uneven route that made it dangerous for photographers jostling for a picture. Worried someone might trip or get hurt, Yash asked them not to come every day, since he would be at the same location for the next two months.

The photographers initially still turned up. During dubbing, Yash called them after a day or two and made an unusual offer: do not photograph me, and if skipping his pictures causes a financial loss, tell me and I will pay you. He also pointed out that they would end up wasting hours while he worked upstairs with no idea how long a session might take.

‘He won our hearts that day,’ Sneh said, adding he had never seen a person like him.

The gestures are a reminder of what works in the celebrity-paparazzi equation:

  • Respect the work: Both stars treated photographers as professionals, not obstacles.
  • Explain the concern: Arjun returned to apologise; Yash spelt out the safety and time issue.
  • Offer a fix: Cameras for those who could not afford them, and a compensation offer for lost work.

Toxic’s box office still disappointed

The tenderness off camera did not rescue Toxic. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups released on August 26, 2026, with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash. Despite the anticipation after KGF: Chapter 2, the film drew a lukewarm response from critics and audiences and underperformed at the box office. Sneh, who watched the first day first show, said he was disappointed by its commercial run.

For Yash, the off-screen goodwill may matter more than one film’s opening. It builds a reserve of public affection that a single underperformer cannot easily erase.
