Suriya’s Scene Enters a Three-Film Diwali Clash
Suriya's Scene is hosting a Dubai fan event on October 25 ahead of its November 6 release, where it will clash with Mookuthi Amman 2 and Ramayana: Part 1.

Diwali is shaping up to be a three-cornered fight at the box office, and Suriya’s Scene is not waiting for release day to make noise. The team has firmed up a pre-release fan event in Dubai on October 25, a little over a week before the film arrives in cinemas on November 6.
The film pairs Suriya with director Jithu Madhavan, the filmmaker behind Romancham and Aavesham, in his first collaboration with the star. Suriya is reported to be playing a police officer, but the production has kept the character and plot largely under wraps.
A Dubai stop before the Diwali rush
The pre-release event is set for Silicon Central Mall in Dubai on October 25. While the makers have not officially confirmed a trailer or audio launch, the gathering is being positioned as a chance for the cast and crew to meet fans in the UAE. For a big Tamil release, that kind of overseas stop is often watched closely by fans, and this one should set the tone for the final promotional stretch.
The music has already started the conversation
Sushin Shyam, making his Tamil debut as composer, has given the film two early talking points. The tracks Aathi Iva Yarraa and Aeroplane are out, and the latter has drawn attention to the bond between Suriya and Nazriya Nazim’s characters. Alongside them, the cast includes Naslen, Jai, Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan.
November 6 is now a heavyweight date
Scene releases on November 6, the same day as Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2 and Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana: Part 1. That turns the Diwali frame into a genuine test of audience pull:
- Scene offers a new Suriya-director pairing and a police-story hook.
- Mookuthi Amman 2 arrives with Nayanthara and an established devotional-comedy franchise.
- Ramayana: Part 1 brings a familiar epic title and two major stars.
Each film is speaking to a slightly different section of the festive audience, but all three will be competing for screens and opening-day attention.
What fans can do now
Keep October 25 on your radar for any surprise trailer or audio drop from the Dubai event. If you want to catch Scene on opening day, plan bookings early because a three-film Diwali clash usually means fast-filling opening weekend shows.
Produced by Suriya and Jyotika, the film has cinematography by Vineeth Augustian, editing by Ajmal Sabu, production design by Ashwini Kale and stunt work by Chethan D’Souza, a technical team that suggests the makers want polish to match the buzz.
