Prabhas turns India’s most-wanted rebel soldier in Fauzi teaser
Prabhas' birthday brings the first Fauzi teaser, a fiery period actioner with a rebel soldier wanted since 1932 and a March 19, 2027 release.

Prabhas turned his 47th birthday into a declaration of war — on screen, at least. The makers of Fauzi released the film’s first teaser and first look on the occasion, introducing the star as a rebel soldier who becomes a living threat to British rule.
A rebellion that starts in Kolkata
The teaser runs for 2 minutes and 31 seconds and places the story in the pre-Independence era. Prabhas plays a soldier based in Kolkata, described in the footage as “India’s biggest rebel soldier” and “most wanted since 1932.” The wanted tag is more than styling: it tells audiences that the colonial establishment has been hunting this man for years and still cannot break him.
The action is loud and aggressive, with guns blazing through high-energy set pieces. But the teaser also gives the character a sharp voice. In the closing stretch, Prabhas taunts the British with a line that translates roughly as a threat to take both blood and freedom. The original dialogue — “Abey oo firangi, main tera khoon lunga aur azaadi bhi chheen kar” — is the kind of crowd-pleasing moment that tells viewers exactly what kind of hero to expect.
What the first look tells us
Alongside the teaser, the team shared visual cues that lean into the period setting and the film’s scale:
- A rebel soldier introduced as “India’s biggest rebel soldier,” wanted since 1932.
- A Kolkata base that anchors the story in pre-Independence India.
- The tagline “A Battalion Who Fights Alone,” suggesting an isolated but dangerous force.
- A companion poster with a golden coin showing Prabhas in military uniform, surrounded by flames.
That golden coin is an interesting choice. It gives the campaign a symbol fans can recognise, and it frames the character as someone worth putting on currency — a figure whose fight is already legendary within the world of the film.
Why March 19, 2027 matters
The makers used the birthday buzz to fix the release date: March 19, 2027. That is a long build, but it turns a birthday reveal into the beginning of a story rather than a one-day moment. Fans now have a date to circle, and the campaign has room to introduce more characters, music and period detail before the film arrives.
Fauzi is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, with Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Bhushan Kumar producing. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the film, and T-Series Films is presenting it. That combination points to a big-screen treatment and a pan-India push.
For Prabhas fans, the first look does more than celebrate a birthday. It establishes the emotional pitch — a patriotic action drama in which the fight for independence is personal as well as political — and gives the campaign an early, shareable hook.
