Salaar 2 tease: Prabhas, Neel reunite after Rs 617.75 cr
A birthday post reuniting Prabhas and Prashanth Neel has revived Salaar 2 buzz, though makers have not announced a production update yet.

Prabhas turned 47 on October 23, and the Salaar team marked the day with a gift for fans: a fresh photo of the star with director Prashanth Neel. The reunion is not an official production update, but the caption made the direction of travel clear — it tagged Salaar 2.
A birthday post with a sequel-sized wink
The official Salaar handle shared a picture of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel together. Alongside a birthday wish for the film’s “one and only Violent Man,” the post added, “We can’t wait to see this DINO-mite duo back in action #Salaar2.”
Prashanth Neel’s wife, Likitha Reddy, added her own warm note, sharing a photo of Prabhas and calling him “Fauji” along with the hashtag #annaya, meaning brother.
Fan reaction was immediate. On X, one user wrote, “Salaar Devaratha Raisaar.” Another posted, “Praneel nation…we are so backkkk.” A third summed up the mood: “the hype for this sequel at release will be at unprecedented levels.”
Why a single photo carries so much weight
The excitement traces back to how Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire ended. Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films, the 2023 release built the fictional city of Khansaar around Deva, played by Prabhas, and Varadha, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran — then left their alliance at a crucial breaking point.
That open ending, combined with large-scale action and world-building, helped the first part gross Rs 617.75 crore worldwide. The sequel, titled Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, is expected to continue the power struggle in Khansaar.
What is actually confirmed
- The tease is a birthday post, not a production announcement.
- The sequel’s title — Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam — is already known.
- The first part was directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films.
- No shoot schedule, start date or release window has been revealed.
What’s next for Prabhas
The actor has a packed slate. After Kalki 2898 AD in 2024 and this year’s The Raja Saab, he has Hanu Raghavapudi’s period drama Fauzi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit (slated for 2027), and the Kalki 2898 AD sequel alongside Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan.
For now, the birthday reunion has done its job: it has put Salaar 2 back in the spotlight. Whether it leads to a concrete update is the question fans will be watching.
