Kriti, Varun’s Howling Reunion Fuels Bhediya 2 Buzz
Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan and director Amar Kaushik share a howling Instagram reunion that has fans convinced Bhediya 2 is near, though no sequel is confirmed yet.

Kriti Sanon knows how to make a cameo-sized clip feel like a full-fledged update. The actor shared an Instagram Stories video this week with Varun Dhawan and director Amar Kaushik, and the trio did the one thing that immediately points to their 2022 horror-comedy: they howled.
The clip ran with the message, ‘An unexpected reunion that will get you Obsessed! Stay Tuned!!’, and Varun reshared it on his own Stories. That is not a confirmation, but it is exactly the kind of wink that sends Bollywood fans into planning mode.
The howl that started the Bhediya 2 chatter
Kriti posted the short video on Monday. It shows the three smiling at the camera before breaking into an exaggerated howl, a direct callback to Bhediya, where Varun plays Bhaskar, a road-construction contractor who is bitten by a wolf in Arunachal Pradesh and begins turning into a werewolf. Kriti plays Anika, a veterinarian who understands more about the strange events than she initially lets on.
There is still no official word that a sequel has been greenlit. But ‘Stay Tuned’ is doing a lot of work here, and fans are treating the reunion as a soft launch for Bhediya 2.
Why a sequel would mean something
Bhediya arrived in theatres in November 2022 and gave the two leads a distinct on-screen pairing. Kriti and Varun had earlier shared screen in Dilwale, so if Bhediya 2 happens, it would be their third film together.
For fans of the horror-comedy, the timing feels plausible. A sequel would have had a few years to develop, and the howl is too specific to be accidental. At the same time, actors and directors meet for reasons that have nothing to do with a greenlit film, so the clip is best read as a suggestion rather than a slate announcement.
The pair has kept the friendship visible beyond work. In May, they were spotted at a music-filled evening with Kriti’s sister Nupur Sanon, singer Stebin Ben and Fukrey actor Varun Sharma. The group danced to ‘Tera Ho Jaun’ from Varun’s release Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, a song sung by Stebin and Jonita Gandhi with lyrics by Vayu.
What fans should keep in mind
Before you book a date with the full moon, here is where things stand:
- No Bhediya 2 has been officially announced yet.
- The Instagram clip is a tease, not a production update.
- If the sequel moves ahead, it would be Kriti and Varun’s third film together.
- Bhediya released in theatres in November 2022, so a follow-up has had time to develop.
On the work front, Varun was last seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. Kriti was last featured in Cocktail 2.
Keep notifications on for Kriti and Varun’s Instagram Stories, because that is where this started. If an official title or date drops, it will likely arrive first on the same channels. Until then, treat the howl as a happy signal, not a formal confirmation.
