Ranabaali hits Rs 52.40 crore worldwide in 5 days
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's Ranabaali is past Rs 52 crore worldwide in five days, but mixed reviews leave the hold unclear.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali has pushed past the Rs 50-crore mark worldwide on its fifth day in theatres. The historical action drama has grossed Rs 52.40 crore globally, according to trade tracker Sacnilk, but the milestone arrives with mixed word of mouth that makes the next few days more telling than the total itself.
A Tuesday bounce, not a breakout
The film collected Rs 6.75 crore nett in India on Tuesday, October 20, a 25 per cent lift from Monday’s Rs 5.40 crore. That pulled the domestic nett total to Rs 36.20 crore; domestic gross stands at Rs 42.15 crore, with overseas contributing Rs 10.25 crore.
The daily arc shows why the recovery matters:
- Friday, October 16: Rs 9.25 crore nett
- Saturday: Rs 7.30 crore nett
- Sunday: Rs 7.50 crore nett
- Monday: Rs 5.40 crore nett
- Tuesday: Rs 6.75 crore nett
Even with the Day 5 improvement, the film’s India daily remains below its opening-day figure, so the Rs 52-crore global number is best read as a base rather than a breakout.
Telugu states keep the film afloat
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remain the engine. The two states contributed Rs 6.65 crore of Tuesday’s India collection, dwarfing Karnataka (Rs 82 lakh), Tamil Nadu (Rs 13 lakh) and other listed markets (Rs 20 lakh).
The Telugu 2D version reported 50.92 per cent overall occupancy on Tuesday, up from 46 per cent on Monday. Mornings started slow at 22 per cent, but afternoon shows climbed to 60.77 per cent and evening shows touched 61 per cent, before night screenings settled at 59.92 per cent. The film logged 545,671 footfalls on Tuesday, taking its five-day total to 2,834,728.
Mixed reviews make the hold the real story
Audiences remain split. Some viewers have criticised the film’s slow narration and sections set during British colonial rule, along with Rashmika Mandanna’s accent. Others are cheering Vijay Deverakonda’s screen presence and the Jayamma track. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and set in 19th-century India, the film follows a man described as a "Savage" who rises against British authority; Arnold Vosloo also stars.
For fans, the next checkpoint is simple: can Ranabaali hold its Telugu occupancy through the second weekend while the mixed reviews settle into audience word of mouth? If it can, Rs 52 crore looks like a floor; if it cannot, the film’s run could narrow quickly outside its core markets.
