Udta Teer crosses Rs 50 crore worldwide on Day 8

Udta Teer collected Rs 50.03 crore worldwide gross in eight days, with Day 8 net up 26.7% to Rs 2.85 crore, but gross is not producer recovery.

Udta Teer crosses Rs 50 crore worldwide on Day 8

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s spy comedy Udta Teer has crossed Rs 50 crore in worldwide gross collections after eight days in theatres. The latest daily figure, reported by Sacnilk, shows a much-needed lift: Rs 2.85 crore net in India on Day 8, up 26.7% from Thursday’s Rs 2.25 crore.

The day-wise story so far

The film opened on October 23, 2026, and the opening weekend still accounts for its best single-day numbers. Sunday was the strongest day, and the weekdays settled into a lower range before Friday’s second-week uptick.

  • Day 1 (Friday): Rs 4.10 crore net in India
  • Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 7.25 crore net
  • Day 3 (Sunday): Rs 8.20 crore net
  • Day 4 (Monday): Rs 3.20 crore net
  • Day 5 (Tuesday): Rs 3.25 crore net
  • Day 6 (Wednesday): Rs 2.65 crore net
  • Day 7 (Thursday): Rs 2.25 crore net
  • Day 8 (Friday): Rs 2.85 crore net

Those daily domestic numbers add up to a cumulative net total of Rs 33.75 crore. India gross stands at Rs 40.28 crore, and the overseas gross has reached Rs 9.75 crore after Friday’s Rs 75 lakh contribution. That takes the worldwide gross to Rs 50.03 crore.

Why the 50-crore mark needs an asterisk

Crossing Rs 50 crore worldwide is an important line, but it is not the same as the film recovering its money. The estimated budget is between Rs 50 crore and Rs 65 crore, reportedly including production, prints, advertising and cast salaries. Box office gross is shared between exhibitors and distributors before the producers receive their portion, so touching the lower end of the budget range is a signal of progress, not profit.

The opening-day comparison adds context. Udta Teer started with Rs 4.10 crore net, far below the Rs 24 crore opening that Khurrana’s 2025 release Thamma reportedly recorded.

Occupancy, competition and the weekend ahead

On Day 8, the Hindi 2D version of Udta Teer recorded 15.33% overall occupancy across 5,013 shows. Night screenings led with 26.92%, while morning shows remained low at 5.31%. The film faces competition from Hindi releases Nayyi Navelli and Prahaar, as well as Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2.

Second Saturday and Sunday will reveal whether the 26.7% Friday jump is a one-day rebound or the beginning of a steadier second weekend. For fans tracking the film’s run, the real milestone is when the producers’ share, not just the gross, crosses the budget line.
