Tiger Shroff firing: 3 arrested in Kota remanded till Oct 31

A Sunday-evening firing outside Tiger Shroff’s Juhu residence has moved rapidly into a police investigation, with a Mumbai court on Wednesday remanding three accused to police custody until 31 October.

From a train in Kota to a Mumbai court

Kota City Police, acting on specific information, pulled the trio off a train on Monday. The accused were identified as Rehan alias Sukka of Sonipat, Haryana; Ritik Kurmi alias Roshan, who originally hails from Begusarai in Bihar and lives in Mumbai; and Phool Singh of Haryana. They were handed over to Mumbai Police, formally arrested, and produced before the magistrate.

The crime branch asked for 14 days of custody, arguing that investigators need time to recover the weapons used in the firing and to dig into the conspiracy and motive. Police also told the court that the accused had destroyed two mobile phones, which made the interrogation window all the more important.

  • The incident: at least two men fired five to six rounds at Shroff’s car in Juhu on Sunday evening before fleeing on a motorcycle.
  • The injuries: the actor escaped serious injury; his driver and a bystander were hurt.
  • The charges: Mumbai Police have registered a case under attempt to murder and the Arms Act.

The remand argument

Defence lawyers Ajinkya Mirgal and Satyabrat Joshi opposed the remand. Their argument: further custody was not required simply to recover weapons, and the accused had already been interrogated during their transit remand. After hearing both sides, the magistrate sent the accused to police custody until 31 October.

A motorcycle allegedly used by the shooters was found abandoned in Andheri, giving investigators a physical lead to work alongside the arrests. The names of the accused also point to a cross-state footprint: one from Sonipat, one from Begusarai who had been living in Mumbai, and one from Haryana. That is not proof of anything, but it tells you investigators will be looking closely at how the group assembled.

Why this matters for fans

Firing at a star’s car in Juhu is not just a local crime story. It touches a nerve among industry families and film fans because it raises questions about celebrity security and whether the attack was targeted. The quick arrests from a train in Rajasthan suggest the police treated this as a priority from the outset.

What police custody means here

At this stage, the accused remain with investigators rather than being sent to judicial custody. Police custody allows interrogation and recovery work before the magistrate reviews the case again on 31 October. The defence pushback is now on record, which matters if the custody period is later challenged.
