Ranabaali tops Rs 80.43 crore worldwide, then slows in week three
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's period drama crosses Rs 80.43 crore worldwide, but Day 19 collections and occupancy point to a third-week slowdown.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali has crossed a visible box office milestone, but the daily trend tells a more mixed story. The period drama has passed Rs 80 crore in worldwide gross, even as its domestic collections slow into the third week.
According to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India, the film added Rs 16 lakh in India net earnings on Day 19 from 487 shows across the country. That is a 15.8% dip from the previous day’s Rs 19 lakh.
Where the total stands
- Worldwide gross: Rs 80.43 crore
- India net: Rs 58.62 crore
- India gross: Rs 68.08 crore
- Overseas gross: Rs 12.35 crore
- Day 19 tickets sold: 14,959 (total 47,95,342)
In box office reporting, net collections strip out entertainment tax, while gross includes those levies. That is why the India net figure of Rs 58.62 crore sits below the India gross of Rs 68.08 crore, and why worldwide comparisons usually rely on gross totals.
The film’s opening day remains the single biggest contributor, with Rs 9.25 crore in domestic collections. That early burst has carried the cumulative total, but the current footprint is much smaller.
A tale of three weeks
Week one was by far the strongest stretch, bringing Rs 45.20 crore in India net collections and Rs 52.55 crore in gross terms. Week two added Rs 12.10 crore net and Rs 14 crore gross, a 73.2% fall from the opening week.
The slowdown has deepened in week three. In its first five days, Ranabaali added Rs 1.32 crore in domestic net collections and Rs 1.53 crore in gross. That leaves the film relying heavily on opening-week momentum rather than sustained weekday footfalls.
The Girlfriend comparison
Rashmika Mandanna’s previous theatrical release, The Girlfriend, has collected Rs 29.22 crore in worldwide gross after 35 days, including Rs 22.02 crore in domestic gross and Rs 7.20 crore from overseas. Trade reporting frames Ranabaali as collecting over three times that total, though the numbers in the same update put the lead at about 2.75 times. Either way, the gap is substantial.
Ranabaali is set against the Madras Famine of 1876–1878 in the Rayalaseema region, with Deverakonda and Mandanna in the lead roles. Its scale and period setting likely contributed to the strong opening, while the later fall reflects the familiar challenge of holding audiences beyond the first wave.
What to watch next
Occupancy for the Telugu 2D version stood at 11.51% on Day 19. Morning shows led with 13.27%, followed by afternoon at 10.64%, evening at 8.18% and night shows at 9.18%.
With 47,95,342 tickets sold overall, the film has clearly reached a wide audience; the challenge is that weekday attendance is now measured in thousands, not the opening-day rush. For fans, the Rs 80-crore mark is a genuine milestone. For trade watchers, the more important question is whether the overseas total of Rs 12.35 crore can keep growing and whether the film can recover any domestic momentum before its theatrical window closes.
