Rooted in vulnerability, deep thoughts, and raw emotions, the book had already grabbed attention by trending as a bestseller on Amazon during its pre-booking phase.
Poems For Cigarettes is a book that connotes emotions that have different meaning to each, are personal, yet beautiful. The metaphors, smiles, pain, and empathy are everything that a literary enthusiast may want them to be, as said by Priyanshu himself.
On the day of the launch, Priyanshu said, “I’ve been writing poems since I was 11 years old. What started off as a way to just stand out in school eventually turned into an insanely important form of self-expression for me. Poems For Cigarettes is a collection of all those poems, it is raw, it is messy, and it is imperfect. But most of all, it is honest. I hope people squeeze the metaphors hard enough, read through the lines for long enough, and find that honesty looking at them”.
