Ranabaali Day 4: Rs 43.85 Crore Worldwide, Monday Dip in Focus
Ranabaali has collected Rs 43.85 crore worldwide in four days, but a Monday dip puts its Rs 50 crore target and Rs 120 crore budget under focus.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali is closing in on a global milestone, but the first weekday has turned the spotlight on how well it can hold. After four days in cinemas, the period-action drama is within touching distance of Rs 50 crore worldwide, yet Monday’s number suggests the easy part is over.
Day 4 numbers: a dip after the opening weekend
Trade tracker Sacnilk reported that Ranabaali earned an estimated Rs 5.40 crore India nett on its first Monday. That takes the domestic nett collection to Rs 29.45 crore. Worldwide gross stands at Rs 43.85 crore, with India gross at Rs 34.35 crore and overseas gross at Rs 9.50 crore. The overseas market added around Rs 50 lakh on Monday.
The day-wise India nett run so far looks like this:
- Friday: Rs 9.25 crore
- Saturday: Rs 7.30 crore
- Sunday: Rs 7.50 crore
- Monday: Rs 5.40 crore
Monday’s figure is around a 28 per cent drop from Sunday and came from 2,186 shows. The film is now about Rs 6.15 crore away from the Rs 50 crore worldwide mark.
Why the Monday hold matters
Weekday collections are the real test for a film carrying a reported production budget of around Rs 120 crore and mixed responses. An opening weekend can be driven by star power and advance bookings, but Monday reveals whether audiences are recommending the film to others. For Ranabaali, the next few days will show if the period action drama can stabilise or continue to slide.
A small Sunday bump of about 2.7 per cent over Saturday gave it some breathing room, but that Sunday figure was still below opening day. With 2,186 shows on Monday, the screen count is still healthy, but occupancy is the number that matters now. If the film can hold weekday audiences closer to the Sunday level, the Rs 50 crore mark will feel less like a milestone and more like a stepping stone. The second weekend will now play a big role in deciding whether the film builds momentum or settles for a modest run.
The team behind the warrior story
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is his second outing with Vijay Deverakonda after Taxiwaala. The film also marks the third on-screen pairing of Vijay and Rashmika after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and their first release together since their wedding in February.
Set during the Great Madras Famine of 1876–1878, the fictional resistance story features Vijay as Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a warrior from Rayalaseema fighting British colonial rule, and Rashmika as Jayamma. Arnold Vosloo plays the antagonist Sir Theodore Hector.
What happens next
At Rs 43.85 crore worldwide, the film is roughly Rs 6.15 crore short of the Rs 50 crore milestone. Whether it crosses quickly depends on the weekday collections and the response in the second weekend. A sustained second-week run would help it build on the current total; a continued slowdown would make the budget conversation louder.
