Ramayana Crosses $1.12M in Overseas Advance Bookings
Ramayana's overseas advance bookings have crossed $1.12M across four markets, with India sales open and a projected Rs 147.4 crore opening day.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is already pulling audiences before its November 5 release. Overseas advance ticket sales have crossed USD 1.12 million across four markets — the US, Canada, the UK and Australia — even as limited advance bookings open in India.
Early demand runs hot
The figure combines tickets sold for all available show dates, according to a Films Discourse report. India’s early shows in Mumbai are reportedly scheduled from 6:45 a.m., with regular tickets priced between Rs 400 and Rs 500. Premium seats are reportedly priced above Rs 1,000.
Tickets are currently available for Hindi, Kannada and Telugu 3D screenings in select theatres. Paid premiere shows are also confirmed across India on November 4, one day before the official release, with premiere bookings expected to open later.

The opening-day expectation
The early numbers have lifted box-office projections. Trade estimates now suggest Ramayana could cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India on day one, with a projected net collection of Rs 147.4 crore.
It is a big ask, but the project has positioned itself as event cinema: Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble also includes Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
The stars’ pitch
At a Mumbai promotional event, Ranbir Kapoor described the part as an emotional landmark. He said, “Some stories are not just told, they live deeply within us. Ramayan is one such story.” He added that playing Shri Ram was an emotional journey and that he hopes the film takes audiences back to the stories they heard from their parents and grandparents.
Yash, who plays Ravana, asked fans to approach the film with an open mind: “Please don’t try to find small faults: VFX, this, that. It will never happen again if we lose people like him now.”
Yash made the plea at a pre-release event in Hyderabad, praising co-producer Namit Malhotra’s ambition to put the Indian epic on a global platform. He urged cinema fans across the Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil industries to support the project and judge it as a whole rather than nitpicking individual effects.
What to know before booking
The first instalment arrives worldwide on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027. If you are planning a watch, the early 6:45 a.m. Mumbai shows offer the first chance to see the spectacle, and the language options mean you can choose the version that suits you. The premium seats will go quickly, so booking early is the safer move if format and showtime matter to you.
