Tiger Shroff firing: 48-hour remand for 3 suspects

Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar visited Tiger Shroff after Sunday's Juhu firing, while three suspects arrested in Kota were given 48-hour transit remand.

48-hour remand for 3 suspects in Tiger Shroff case

Tiger Shroff is safe, and the focus after Sunday’s Juhu firing has split into two tracks: a minister’s visit to check on the star, and a police operation to bring three arrested suspects from Rajasthan to Mumbai.

The Juhu firing: what we know

Police say the incident took place around 7 pm on Sunday when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu. The accused allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car. Tiger escaped direct gunshot injuries, but his driver was hurt in the attack.

  • Where: Juhu, Mumbai, outside a football club.
  • When: Around 7 pm on Sunday.
  • Who was hurt: Tiger’s driver; the actor escaped direct gunshot injuries.
  • Case filed: Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.

Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar shared pictures from his visit, in which Tiger is seen in a black vest talking with the minister and others. Shelar posted that he had enquired about the actor’s well-being and added that such violence has “no place in our society”.

Three suspects, one transit remand

Mumbai Police arrested three suspects in Rajasthan’s Kota, and a local court granted a 48-hour transit remand. That order lets the Maharashtra Police team transport the accused to Mumbai for further investigation.

The transfer did not happen overnight. Reports say police had originally planned to take the accused to Mumbai immediately, but instructions to follow a “Plan B” changed that. The suspects were kept at the Railway Colony police station through the night, with security teams from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and Rajasthan Police around the premises.

Kota Additional SP Subhash Chandra Mishra said the court granted the transit remand and the suspects were handed over to Mumbai Police. They stayed overnight partly because the travelling team was exhausted and partly for security and safety reasons.

In simple terms, a transit remand is a short court order that lets police carry an accused across a state boundary to the jurisdiction where the case is registered.

Why it matters for fans

This is no longer just a star-sighting story. A firing aimed at a celebrity’s car outside a public place raises uncomfortable questions about safety for actors and their staff. The driver’s injury is a reminder that security incidents affect the people around the star, not only the star.

For fans, the most useful response is patience. The police say further investigation is underway, and the next meaningful update should come from Mumbai Police. Avoid amplifying unverified clips or speculation about the motive, and keep the driver’s recovery in the conversation too.
