Ranabaali slows to Rs 63.65 crore worldwide
The Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna historical drama reaches Rs 63.65 crore worldwide after seven days, with Thursday collections slowing sharply.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s historical drama Ranabaali has crossed Rs 63.65 crore in worldwide gross after seven days in cinemas, but the pace is already cooling. Thursday collections show a midweek slide that will make the second weekend a real test.
Week one: the numbers
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3.15 crore in India net collections on Thursday, October 22, from 2,112 shows at 31% occupancy. That is a 42.7% drop from Wednesday’s Rs 5.50 crore. India gross now stands at Rs 52.55 crore, while overseas markets have added Rs 11.10 crore.
The first-week domestic tally looks like this:
- Friday: Rs 9.25 crore net, 2,515 shows, 57% occupancy
- Saturday: Rs 7.30 crore net, 2,292 shows, 53% occupancy
- Sunday: Rs 7.50 crore net, 2,302 shows, 56% occupancy
- Monday: Rs 5.40 crore net, 2,186 shows, 46% occupancy
- Tuesday: Rs 7.10 crore net, 2,237 shows, 56% occupancy
- Wednesday: Rs 5.50 crore net, 2,232 shows
- Thursday: Rs 3.15 crore net, 2,112 shows, 31% occupancy
That leaves the film’s seven-day India net total at Rs 45.20 crore, with an estimated cumulative ticket count of 3,584,067. Thursday alone accounted for about 271,563 tickets. Overseas markets added just Rs 35 lakhs in gross on Thursday, mirroring the domestic slowdown.
Why the Thursday slide matters
The drop is not a surprise for a big-star release once the holiday audience thins out, but the size of the Thursday fall after Tuesday’s Rs 7.10 crore recovery suggests the film is now leaning heavily on weekend audiences. The Telugu 2D version recorded 29.40% occupancy on Thursday; morning shows were the weakest at 19.85%, while evening and night shows stayed above 32%.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set against the Madras Famine of 1876-1878 and follows a horseman organising resistance in the Rayalaseema region under British colonial rule. With mixed reviews, the film’s ability to convert its subject and star pairing into weekday footfalls will decide how far beyond this opening total it can go.
What to watch in week two
Keep an eye on the second Friday hold and the show count. A lower-than-Thursday drop on Friday, or a strong Saturday rebound, would signal that word of mouth is kicking in. If occupancy stays in the low 30s on weekdays, the film may settle quickly after the opening week’s Rs 63.65 crore worldwide gross.
