Rashmika Says 100 Is Nothing, She’d Choose Him a Thousand Times
After Koffee With Karan sparked a troll storm, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda explain their marriage in their own words. Here's why it matters.

After their appearance on Koffee With Karan sparked a wave of relationship commentary, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have answered the noise on their own terms.
The episode — now streaming on JioHotstar — had viewers dissecting everything from the couple’s courtship timeline to the way they spoke about marriage. For Rashmika, the conversation had crossed a line. She described the response as “an angry mob looking for someone to vent at,” and said the original point got lost.
Why Rashmika finally responded
Rashmika, 30, admitted she usually avoids online arguments. But this time, she felt the chatter had stopped being about differing opinions and had turned into something more personal.
She explained that the discussion about how many times she would choose Vijay was never meant to be a count of proposals or a demand for a grand gesture. According to her, Vijay wanted them to take their time and be certain about the practical side of their future, while she already knew what she wanted.
“I am all heart, and he is the thinker – and we need that in each other’s lives,” she wrote, framing their differences as complementary rather than conflicting.
The thousand-times answer
Rashmika addressed the question that had become a social media flashpoint with a plain answer: “I would do it a thousand times – 100 is nothing.”
For her, the decorative parts of a wedding — a proposal on one knee, a ring — matter less than building a life together. She described Vijay as her lifelong companion, the friend she leans on through ordinary and extraordinary moments, the father of her children and the person she wants to grow old with.
“And yes, I am OBSESSED with my man. When did that become a bad thing?” she wrote.
A message to the ‘girls’ and a line on feminism
The actor also addressed women who had posted reels offering her relationship advice, including suggestions that she should leave. While she acknowledged their concern, she asked why so many people were drawing conclusions about a relationship they knew little about.
- She reminded critics that Vijay was there during her health troubles, hospital visits and late-night anxiety.
- She said she is the happiest she has ever been and wished that happiness were as visible as the misleading edits.
- She drew a line at remarks about her family: “That’s not feminism. That’s bullying dressed up as feminism.”
Rashmika defined feminism as the freedom to make one’s own life decisions and take responsibility for them, not a tool to put another person down.
She also paused to thank her Kannadiga fans for keeping her “deeply etched” in their hearts even after 10 years.
Vijay’s shorter, softer reply
Vijay Deverakonda followed with a note of his own, keeping the focus on love rather than the argument. “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right,” he wrote.
Together, the two statements send one message: the life they have chosen is theirs, and the online commentary will not decide how they move forward.
