Ayushmann-Tahira’s Diwali bash ran till 5 am for Udta Teer
Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap hosted a starry Diwali night that doubled as the release celebration for Udta Teer.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap opened their Mumbai home to Bollywood this week for a Diwali party that quickly turned into a release-night celebration. The gathering fell on the same October 23 evening that Ayushmann’s spy-comedy Udta Teer arrived in cinemas, making the night a double reason to celebrate.
The guest list showed how wide their circle has grown. Karan Johar, Sara Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Rakulpreet and Jackky Bhagnani, Manish Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were among the familiar faces. Ayushmann’s brother Aparshakti Khurrana came with wife Aakriti, and producers Bhushan Kumar, Guneet Monga and Apoorva Mehta joined the celebration too.
A party that went till 5 am
Tahira gave fans a small window into the evening with a video post. In her caption, she wrote about what Mumbai has come to mean for the couple. She said the city has become home, and friends are their extended family. As she put it, the celebration stretched into the early hours.
Let there be love and light… We slept at 5 am and danced till our feet hurt…the best feeling.
That detail, dancing until feet hurt and sleeping at 5 am, tells you it was not a quick photo opportunity. It was a proper festive reunion.
A Diwali tradition with a filmi twist
Ayushmann and Tahira celebrate Diwali with industry friends every year, and the annual party has become part of their public rhythm as a couple. This year’s edition felt bigger because it landed on a release date. When a leading man hosts a festive party on opening day, the event becomes an extension of the film’s first-day energy, friends arrive to wish him well, and the celebration keeps the title in the conversation through the weekend.
Why the timing matters
Diwali parties in Bollywood are rarely just social. They are where directors, producers and actors catch up away from sets, and where new projects often begin as casual conversations. This one carried extra weight because it doubled as an informal opening-night gathering for Udta Teer.
