Drishyam 3 India net hits ₹232.50 cr in 6 days

Six days after its October 2 release, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is still holding its own at the ticket window. The Ajay Devgn and Tabu thriller added an estimated ₹15.50 crore net in India on October 7, a 20.5% dip from Tuesday’s ₹19.50 crore, according to Sacnilk.

The film played across 15,972 shows on Wednesday with an overall Hindi 2D occupancy of 18.98%. Night shows led the day at 28.69%, followed by evening at 20.92%, afternoon at 16.00% and morning at 10.31%.

Drishyam 3’s day-wise India net

After six days, the threequel’s India net stands at ₹232.50 crore, while its India gross has reached ₹279.00 crore.

  • Friday (Day 1): ₹62.00 crore
  • Saturday: ₹53.50 crore
  • Sunday: ₹61.00 crore
  • Monday: ₹21.00 crore
  • Tuesday: ₹19.50 crore
  • Wednesday: ₹15.50 crore

A predictable dip, a healthy floor

The first three days delivered ₹176.50 crore net, so the weekday slide was expected. What matters is that Day 6 stayed above ₹15 crore, a strong floor for a mystery thriller in its first full working week.

Worldwide gross now totals ₹366.50 crore, with overseas contributing ₹87.50 crore. Day 6 brought in another ₹6.00 crore from international markets. The film recorded 721,016 footfalls on Wednesday, taking total footfalls to 9,504,076.

For a franchise built on suspense rather than spectacle, that hold is a small but useful signal. The film is not only opening well; it is converting weekday audiences, especially in night shows, where the working multiplex crowd tends to show up.

Old wounds, new cop

The story picks up years after Vijay Salgaonkar stayed a step ahead of the law. Meera Deshmukh is back, but her aim is revenge rather than simple justice. A new Crime Branch officer, Rajveer Tomar, starts pulling apart Vijay’s carefully built alibi and claims he has fresh evidence to break it.

Jaideep Ahlawat’s Tomar is blunt about the mission. “System ka darr bana rehna chahiye.” Vijay answers with a question about audience sympathy: “Agar hero jail mein gaya, toh audience ko accha lagega?”

The film is written by Aamil Keeyan Khan, Abhishek Pathak and Parveez Shaikh. ETimes has awarded it 3.5 stars out of 5.
