Salman Khan’s Rs 2,500 crore Punjab project launches without him
Salman Khan's namesake six-tower Punjab residential project is announced with a reported Rs 2,500 crore investment, while the actor skips the launch.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has put his name on a luxury skyline. A namesake high-rise residential project has been announced in Punjab through a campaign featuring the actor with luxury watch and jewellery brand Jacob & Co and real estate firm GB Realty. The project, linked to the Chandigarh region, is reported to be a six-tower development with 3 and 4 BHK luxury apartments and a reported investment of Rs 2,500 crore.
Names connected to the actor — SK Towers, The Salman Towers and Salman Khan Towers — had been registered weeks before this announcement. On Saturday night, the launch ad surfaced on fan handles, showing Salman in a tailored suit and a luxury watch rumoured to cost around Rs 41 lakh.
A launch without the star
Salman did not attend the event in person. In a video message, he said, “Due to unavoidable circumstances, I could not make it tonight,” and added that his heart, spirit and best wishes were with everyone present.
The no-show arrives amid reported threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Reports say the gang opened fire at actor Tiger Shroff earlier this month and is said to have abandoned another attempt on Salman because of his high security cover. Salman is also shooting his next film, Monster.
What the project promises
- Six towers of high-rise luxury living
- 3 and 4 BHK apartments aimed at premium buyers
- Modern amenities and a possible township format
- Rs 2,500 crore reported investment
The teaser format matters too. The campaign leans on a rumoured Rs 41 lakh watch rather than floor plans, signalling that the pitch is aspiration first. Pricing, location and amenity details are still to come.
Why celebrity-branded real estate works
Star-branded projects are not just a famous face on a hoarding. A name like Salman Khan brings instant recognition, trust and aspiration, especially for buyers who want a lifestyle story rather than just square footage. A Rs 2,500 crore township plan suggests the developers are betting that the actor’s name can carry a large, premium offering.
For Bollywood watchers, the move is also a sign of how star power is being converted into long-term brand equity. The actor becomes the product, from the sales gallery to the skyline.
Bandra plans still open
Separately, Salman has reportedly received clearance for a new six-storey, sea-facing residential building at Chimbai in Bandra, close to his longtime home at Galaxy Apartments. There has been no official confirmation that he or his family intends to move out of Galaxy once the new property is complete.
