Tiger Shroff Firing Was Meant for Salman Khan; 3 Held
Reports say the three men arrested in Kota first recce'd Salman Khan's Bandra home before tracking Tiger Shroff's Instagram and firing at his car.

The firing outside Tiger Shroff’s Juhu residence over the weekend now carries a more unsettling headline: the three shooters may not have come for him at all. According to reports, their first target was Salman Khan.
Why the shooters switched targets
The three accused allegedly conducted a recce at Salman Khan’s heavily guarded Bandra home and found the security arrangements too strong. Reports say they then looked for a softer target and settled on Tiger Shroff, monitoring his routine through his Instagram account and fan-posted videos before firing at his car as he exited. The attack on a busy Sunday evening was captured on video. Tiger escaped relatively unhurt, while his driver and a bystander were injured.
The getaway and the arrests
After the firing, the accused reportedly fled to Surat, took a train to Jaipur, and planned a bus to Delhi before escaping to Nepal. Mumbai Police instead arrested three men in Kota, Rajasthan. Two have been named as Ritik, alias Roshan, from Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan from Sonipat in Haryana. A case has been registered under attempted murder and provisions of the Arms Act.
Police sources told news agencies that Rehan was in touch with Anil Pandit, an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Soon after the incident, a social media post and an audio message from people claiming gang links surfaced, demanding an apology from Salman Khan to the Bishnoi community and threatening those associated with the actor.
The old wound behind the new threat
The Bishnoi hostility toward Salman Khan is not new. It is linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan; the Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck sacred. Salman has faced repeated threats over the years, including a firing outside his Bandra residence in April 2024. That history makes Sunday’s targeting pattern feel less random and more like a deliberate fallback.
- Original target: Salman Khan, per reports
- Reason for switch: heavy security at his Bandra home
- Method: Tiger’s Instagram and fan videos used to track movement
- Arrests: three accused held in Kota, Rajasthan
- Charges: attempted murder and Arms Act provisions
Jalota’s appeal for an apology
Singer Anup Jalota, speaking to IANS, said he was saddened by the incident and suggested that an apology from Salman Khan could end the cycle. “There is only one way to stop all this. Salman Khan should apologize to the Bishnoi community,” he said. Jalota added that those who work with Salman, and their families, would keep getting hurt until the community’s hurt is addressed.
What it means for film fans
For audiences, this is a reminder that the glamour economy now runs on constant public visibility — but that same visibility can become a risk. The reported use of Instagram and fan pages to track a star’s movements will likely sharpen conversations about how much celebrities should reveal in real time. It also underlines why Mumbai Police and other agencies treat threats to public figures as a moving, multi-state puzzle rather than a local law-and-order matter.
