Itlu Arjuna Release Delayed, New Date Soon for Telugu Romance
Anish and Anaswara Rajan's Telugu romance Itlu Arjuna has vacated its October 30 release; the team promises a new date shortly. Here's why it moved.
Telugu romantic entertainer Itlu Arjuna, starring Anish and Anaswara Rajan, will no longer arrive on October 30 as planned. The team shared the update on X and promised a fresh date shortly, while asking fans to keep supporting the young cast and crew.
October 30 just got a clearer front-runner
Itlu Arjuna is the second romantic entertainer to leave that date. Preity Mukhundhan and Roshan Meka’s Emo Emo Idi had already moved aside to make way for Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutambam – House No. 47. Now Venkatesh’s family drama stands as the big Telugu title on October 30.
For smaller films, this is a screen-count decision as much as a creative one. A debut-led romance would have had to compete for shows, prime-time slots and family audiences against a Venkatesh release. Moving protects the film’s opening weekend and gives its promotional campaign room to run.
The film’s early talking points
The film is the directorial debut of Mahesh Uppala and introduces Anish in the lead, with Anaswara Rajan as the female lead. Reports suggest Anish plays a young man with speech and hearing impairments, though the makers have not confirmed the full storyline. That character detail, along with the pair’s on-screen chemistry, has driven early interest.
The craft team is one of the film’s strongest cards:
- Presented by: Nagarjuna
- Music: S. Thaman
- Cinematography: Raja Mahadev
- Production design: Ram Kumar A
- Editing: Koti K
- Action: Dilip Subbarayan
Why the wait can work
A new date gives S. Thaman’s music more time to reach listeners and lets the romantic storyline build word of mouth without being drowned out. The makers kept the announcement optimistic on X, writing: “Arjun’s love will be heard in theatres with a double bang!”
For fans, the immediate step is simple: follow the film’s official X handle. The team said the new date will be announced “very very soon.” Until then, October 30 is effectively Venkatesh’s day, and the two young romances wait for their own weekends.
The delay also changes the viewing plan for October 30. Telugu audiences planning a theatre trip now have Venkatesh’s family drama as the clear big-screen option, while Itlu Arjuna and Emo Emo Idi will announce new slots separately. With no official replacement date for either film, any viral post claiming a date should be treated as speculation until the teams confirm it.
