Madhuri Dixit has just given Bollywood fans the crossover they didn’t know they needed: the actor synonymous with on-screen grace taking on the gloriously unhinged “Jamal Kudu” hook step from Animal.

A clip doing the rounds online shows Madhuri in a purple Anarkali suit, moving to the beat with a glass balanced on her head — the same signature challenge that made Bobby Deol’s entry scene one of the most discussed moments of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film.

“Jamal Kudu” became a social media favourite soon after the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer released. The original move caught attention because of its unusual, glass-on-head hook step, and it quickly turned into a go-to reference online.

Madhuri’s version flips the same vocabulary. She stays steady through the step, keeps her posture composed, and never lets the glass slip. It is the same hook step, but delivered with the polish that has defined her dance image for decades — and that contrast is exactly why viewers are sharing it.

She was also seen at Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party on November 5 with Dr Nene and their elder son Arin, wearing a pink Manish Malhotra saree.

At that party, attention also went to Arin, who arrived with a young woman named Khushi, reported to be his rumoured girlfriend. The two posed for photographers, though neither has publicly confirmed the dating rumours.

Madhuri’s television comeback

On the work front, Madhuri has returned to television hosting after a gap of 24 years. She is hosting the Marathi quiz show Kon Honar Crorepati, which premiered in October 2026. She also appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, where she danced to “Kaahe Chhed Mohe.”
