Drishyam 3 hits ₹341.30 crore worldwide in 5 days

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has crossed the ₹200 crore nett mark in India within five days and is closing in on a ₹350 crore worldwide gross. The film opened in theatres on October 2 and is already showing the kind of weekday staying power that separates a big opening from a genuine theatrical hit. For a Hindi thriller, that pace is notable in an era when even star-driven films often struggle to turn a strong weekend into a long run.

The numbers so far

On Day 5, the thriller added an estimated ₹19 crore nett in India from 16,056 shows, according to trade website Sacnilk. That was only slightly below the ₹21 crore it collected on Day 4, which was the first notable weekday dip of the run. The India gross is now ₹259.80 crore, and the overseas gross stands at ₹81.50 crore, taking the worldwide total to ₹341.30 crore.

  • India nett: ₹200 crore plus in five days
  • India gross: ₹259.80 crore
  • Overseas gross: ₹81.50 crore
  • Worldwide gross: ₹341.30 crore
  • Day 5 India nett: ₹19 crore from 16,056 shows

Why the Tuesday hold matters

A ₹19 crore Tuesday may look like a step down from the opening weekend, but in context it is a strong signal. Most big-ticket films fall sharply once Monday arrives; Drishyam 3 is retaining enough audience to suggest repeat viewings and word of mouth are doing the heavy lifting.

That is especially important for a sequel. Returning audiences do not come back for spectacle alone; they come back because they trust the story to deliver. A stable weekday number indicates that the Vijay Salgaonkar saga is attracting both fans of the earlier films and new viewers who heard the reactions before buying a ticket.

A franchise with built-in pull

The third chapter brings back the franchise’s central dilemma: Vijay Salgaonkar trying to protect his family while confronting the law and a trail of evidence. That premise, paired with Ajay Devgn in the lead, gives the film a clear emotional hook.

The ensemble is a major asset too. Shriya Saran returns as Nandini, Ishita Dutta as Anju and Tabu as Meera Deshmukh. Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat join the latest chapter in new roles, while Abhishek Pathak, who directed Drishyam 2, returns to helm this instalment after the first two chapters released in 2015 and 2022.

What the next week could bring

If the film continues at this pace through the remaining weekdays and the upcoming weekend, ₹225 crore and ₹250 crore India nett are the obvious next milestones. The worldwide run should push past ₹350 crore without much trouble, cementing Drishyam 3 as one of 2026’s most durable Hindi theatrical successes. Trades will now be watching whether the second-weekend curve holds, because another strong hold would turn a hit into a tide-setter.
